A little project I made a while ago!

So I was mooching around the ipad earlier today and found these photos of a card I made a while ago with the intention of blogging it it then matters medical took over so here it is!

At the first Summer Crafting Show I got a lovely set of Be Neighbours stamps from the very lovely Nicky Hall at Polka Doodles – here they are:

So these beauties have remained unused for 3 years until a few weeks ago when I got the urge to take them out of the packet instead of just stroking them and putting them away again! What I love about them are the little bits of foliage, stones and extra elements to add to your design, it can be a different stamped image every time you use them!

I stamped with black Memento so that I could use my Promarkers for colouring and this was one of those projects where I decided to go monochrome so I got out my Ice Greys and started to add some tone to the design.

Next I got out some of my beautiful Cosmo Cricket papers that I got years ago and have kept in the stroking pile – it’s my ambition to use a lot of my stash instead of buying or printing more! Once I’d done a little matting and layering I changed my mind about the greys and got out some coloured promarkers – I love that with alcohol pens you can change your mind and just colour over the top! You can see why I added colour can’t you?!

I added a little distress ink to the edges of the image:

So then I got out my favourite Tattered Lace Floral Dies which you have seen before and got cutting with my Ebosser and the off cuts of Cosmo Cricket papers…

I absolutely adore these dies, there are two versions of it – the Crafting.co.uk one and the Hobbycraft one. They have been designed to work beautifully together and create the most stunning embellishments.

Here’s the finished card, hope you like:
