Good morning crafty peeps! Hope you are all well, I’m thrilled to be going back to work tomorrow after nearly three months off with trapped nerves and all kinds of other neck/arm issues! It’s a tentative return of a few hours a day but it’s a start!
Anyway, in build up to my return I decided to make a card last week and here it is!
Hope you like, info below on how I made it 🙂
Unusually for me on this one I decided on the colour first. I had an off cut of the beautiful blue Centura Pearl that was begging to be embossed so I decided it would look fab with the all over dots from the Embossalicious Dottie folder which then led me to create a clean and simple card.
So I started by getting out my Stamping Bella stamps out again. I stamped and coloured with promarkers as shown in the following three images:

I then cut this out and got out one of my favourite old Hero Arts border stamps and created a background using a Marvy le Plume pen which matched beautifully!
Next was another fun part! It was time to use my new Perfect Layers rulers for my matting and layering, again I kept it simple with just a couple of layers
And now it was time to embellish the card so I trimmed a strip of leftover stamped background with ribbon and added it to the card front.
Next I stamped a sentiment – this one was a freebie from a magazine – decorated it with the stamp from the background, used a Spellbinders Nestability die to cut it, matted onto Centura pearl and trimmed with a small border. And then I finished with a little knot of ribbon to add a little dimension.
Here are some more pictures
Fantastic that you are starting back at work. We’ve missed you! Card is lovely too.
