Well I hope it’s been as beautiful where you are as it has been here in derbyshire. It started out a bit misty but once the sun came out it stayed out for a long time, long enough to dry the washing anyway – isn’t it great, when you’re an adult you see the sun and think ‘yay I can peg the washing out!’ I know, I’m so rock n roll Lol.
Anyway, I did a bit of colouring the other day as I managed to track a stamp down on eBay that I’d seen on quite a few cards recently and reeeaallllyyyy needed! So here she is along with the promarker colours I used…
I made a little New Years resolution to break into my stash of papers and today was the turn of this beauty from Tim Holtz
unusual colours from him but still his fabulous style of design. So I cut the stamped image with a Nestability die and cut two larger pieces with the same shape from the papers. I edged the stamped image and cut shapes using Stormy Sky and Peeled Paint Distress Inks. Next I stamped a sentiment, cut it out and found a piece of ribbon that matched perfectly and I had the bones of my card…
and then I put the card together. I decided to use the Tattered Lace Lavish Blooms and cut some of the Lily die layers from both the Tim Holtz papers and Craft Metal along with some of the leaves from the lavish blooms kit too.
In the end I decided not to use the sentiment as I’m going to save the card for someone’s birthday and will add a sentiment when I decide who to give it to!
Here’s how the card turned out, I’m pretty pleased with it – let me know what you think 🙂
