Every year around this time I make two or three different birthday cards for my hubby and usually end up giving him the first one I made!

So this one is a quick one to describe, Tim Holtz papers and black card, spellbinders labels dies, Ditzy Sentiment Stamp, Victorian Embellishment dies from Tattered Lace and the fabulous Dreamees Heart Tree Stamp with Silver Mica Powder, Black Soot Distress Ink, a black Promarker and Versamark ink pad. Here’s the card:

I stamped the two images onto black card with Versamark and dusted with the mica powder to get the incredible shimmer on the design. Then I did some cutting, I distressed the shapes through the dies and edged them with a black promarker so that they would stand out on the background, then I constructed the card.

I’m not too sure about this one but I’ll pop it to one side and see what else happens in the craft room between now and his birthday!
