Welcome to my world, sometimes a little hectic but a fab place to be!

Tatty Twinkle Sample 4

Here is my final sample for the Tatty Twinkle launch of the latest four designs.

This one was much easier than it looks, that’s the beauty of the stamps and Tattered Lace Dies! I cut an aperture in the card front with a Nestability die and also cut an aperture in a sheet of butterfly paper from the Tatty Twinkles CD Rom, I cut this to size to fit the card front and used Fotoglue to attach it. I cut the hydrangea border a few times and arranged around the aperture. I then stamped and cut out the flowers, added gems to the centre of the flowers and attached the stamped image swinging from the aperture.

I finished with a stamped sentiment, also decorated with a couple of the flowers and some Tattered Lace self adhesive gem flourishes.

Tatty Twinkle Sample 3

Here’s the full image of the third card I made for the tv launch of these stamps.

This is another quite simple card, I embossed the front of the Kraft Card card blank, inked it with Walnut Stain distress ink and then embellished using the Elegant Flourish from Tattered Lace Dies before I did some simple matting and layering and added the stamped image, this is a card where you let the stamp do the talking!

Tatty Twinkle Sample 2

Here is my second sample for the latest tv launch of Tatty Twinkles, this one uses papers from the Tatty Twinkles CD Rom, I scuffed the edges with scissors and then inked the edges.

Another thing to mention on this one is the Tattered Lace Hydrangea Border that I cut from funky foam and used as a stamp on the plain layers to add a little detail.

Dreamee-ing of a crafty Christmas…

So having rediscovered my love of all things stamping and inky, you may already know I’m a fan of Dreamees stamps, and this week I’ve been playing very happily with some new stamps of theirs that launch at 1pm on Tuesday 22nd July. My hands are covered in distress ink and my desk is an absolute tip but I’m having a whale of a time! Thank you to Carol and Haykey for letting me play 🙂

Here are my projects so far, more to follow (well it’s raining and I’m not going anywhere so I may as well craft!)

This frame was part of the set of three that I blogged about altering a while ago. I realised that the gorgeous Christmas tree stamp would fit it beautifully so I got going with this one. The snowflakes are from Tattered Lace and cut from the same papers that the frame is decorated with, they are from the CD that launches on the show with the stamps, inked and then heat embossed with clear ultra fine embossing powder.

Next is a card that I made which uses simple stamping techniques onto Kraft card with the new set of baubles, so built the design using the stamps and espresso memento ink and coloured with promarkers before highlighting with gold glitter and adding a sentiment from the CD which I inked with distress ink.20140719-124243-45763021.jpg

And finally for now, here is a notepad that I’ve altered, no stamping on this one! Ok, so the notepad was, again, very inexpensive – a set of three for £1 and so I covered it with papers from the cd that I cut to size and then inked with Peeled Paint distress ink, added a sentiment and round stamp from the cd and then added my own little list of what’s going on the notepad to get organised for Christmas!

So I hope you like what I’ve done so far and I will share more over the weekend, ttfn xx

Tatty Twinkles is coming back soon….

Hi everyone, I hope everyone who went to Summer Crafting in Doncaster this weekend has recovered! I’ve been given the ok to give you all a sneaky peek at some of my cards for the next Tatty Twinkle show at 9am on 17th July…..

I will show you the full cards the night before the show but couldn’t wait to start tempting you cos the stamps I got to play with are just divine! I love that all of those mini stamps you have will fit in the sentiment plaques, I’ve used the one that came with the stamp along with a couple of Dreamees sentiments.

So here is my cheeky little teaser:

Masking fun with Dreamees stamps

This will be a quick post but I promised yesterday to share my creations from this weekend and teased you with thoughts of stamps from Dreamees so here is today’s creation

I wanted to keep this card quite simple and elegant and let the stamp do the talking so I got to work masking because in this gorgeous set you get some fabulous bluebell/snowdrop style stamps and I wanted them in the vase so here’s how I masked it off

Next I got yet more promarkers out and did my colouring. I coloured everything below the water the same colour as above then went over with the April shower that I used for the water to give it the illusion of actually being under water. Now I wouldn’t usually mix blues and yellows but as nature dictates when you have beautiful flowers anything goes so I went for it. I actually really love the finished result with the added detail of the Tattered Lace Cherished Flourish. Hope you do too. Here are some close ups 🙂

Easter Blooms

Have you ever had an off cut left that you just suddenly decide to use? Well today I just felt the urge to use up the background on is card and the tiny off cuts that I had to co-ordinate so I printed out the FREE Tatty Twinkle Easter Download and got out my faithful promarkers!

I didn’t know I was going to use a Lavish Bloom Flower from Tattered Lace Dies until I’d started putting the card together. I also got out my very old deckle edged scissors too to give this card something a little (but not too) different! But putting that flower on ( I used the lily and leaves) means I can tell you all about the new Tattered Lace Challenge Blog which is a fab place where you can join in the challenges and win prizes – you don’t need a blog to join in either you can email your entries.

So as always, here are some close ups of this card – hope you like 🙂
